I've been fortunate in life, not in some of my choices or life's ways, but with my eye for capturing a "nice" photograph.

I owned my first film camera at the age of 13, after always asking to use to my Mum's one I think she relented to buy me one of my own. From here on in I've always preferred the ease of photographing the beauty in Nature, architecture and the simplicity of an animal not forced to pose.

The usual life events happened, marriage, children, divorce, marriage, running a pub and our wonderful grandchildren, so photography took a step back. Running a pub is a full time job, no matter how many staff you may have - the bills, events, and paperwork don't sort themselves. Then my wonderful husband, Carl, bought me a second-hand DSLR back in 2018 and I have never been too far away from it since. I started printing my photo's a couple of years later, those printers are not cheap yet worth every penny. And yes I started MJH Photo Prints with the idea of getting my photography noticed and sell a few prints. I attended Margate College on a couple of their further education courses with tutor Len Whybrow, who is an inspirational photographer in his own right. I carried on taking photographs, printing and selling a few prints at table top sales in the area.

This brings me straight to why here, why now...… well I will tell you, I do have long term goals in photography, of course I'd like to be noticed, I'd like people to know what I do and of course to retire into photography rather than work in the hospitality industry forever.
